NEW LIFE AS A STUDENT

Hi Readers. I'm Maryam. This is my very first entry for this blog.

I'm really excited to write and to share my new life as a student. And the thing is I'm not a secondary student anymore. Hahaha. I'm big enough to be a matured student as I enter this Kolej Poly-Tech MARA, Bangi last June 2015.

When I received my SPM result last year, I don't know how to describe my feeling.

I felt like I'm a loser. I'm really afraid if I can't pursue my study anymore. Actually my result are not that bad but i felt that way because the pressure from my sisters and brother who are intelligent as they

success enter an university such as UKM, USIM and UITM.

But thanks to Allah, I get information about KPTM through my close friend.

Even she gets an awesome result, she still remember me and ask me to apply KPTM online on their official website. I'm really thankful to her cause she, i enter this excellent college.

There are really lots of facilities here in KPTM. I'm really enjoyed myself here.

Back to the point , I want to story about my experience when I have to go through the orientation by seniors here. Actually it is a beautiful memory if we as a junior listen carefully and do the best for this orientation.

New Student Orientation is a full day program (7:00am - 10:30pm), which integrates academic requirements, social standards and connection with the community.  You can expect to meet fellow new students, converse with academic lecturer, and learn more about the many benefits of being a KPTM student.  New Student Orientation is mandatory for all first time freshmen. ·      

I remember the mixture of excitement and nervousness I felt as the start of college drew near. As this is my first time to go to college, I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I went to orientation with an eagerness to know more about college life. College orientation helped to ease my nerves and make me feel comfortable with my new life as part of the campus.

College orientation programs are key to overall student success. Not only do they help with some of those initial feelings of anxiety, but they also provide helpful information on the student experience inside and outside of the classroom.

At Orientation, you will:

Receive academic advising

Register for classes

Learn about campus life from current senior students

Connect with other students

Explore ways to get involved in campus activities

Discuss important college issues for new students

Receive information about important campus resources and services

Get your questions answered about coming to campus!

I think that's all for today. I hope my entry can help all of you out there who are still hope to pursue study to apply KPTM not only in Bangi but also around Malaysia.

Last but not least, don't try to skip your orientation.. It is actually a very good experience and the best. You can fell the heat. Hahahaha. Don't judge a book by it's cover , okay?
